En LaVidak nos hacemos de casi todo tipo de red social, sobre todo si esta sirve para algo y más aun si es para algo bueno. Spotify es un software que te puedes bajar e instalar, y que sirve para oir música. Permite crear tus propias listas, compartirlas y seguirles el rastro o suscribirte a ellas.

Desde hace ya un tiempo tenemos empezadas varias de estas, y ya va siendo hora de ir publicándolas o compartiéndolas. Qué mejor lista para empezar que Porque somos Legión.

Próximamente tendremos su versión rock y playlists dedicados a otros apartados clásicos de LaVidak, o de lo que nos vaya pareciendo. Tendrá sin duda su sitio, y sino ya nos encargaremos de hacérselo, la Polka Schnell Op. 324: Unter Donner Und Blitz de Strauss, pieza que como ya indicó el Conde de la Maza, ya fue sintonía de la Vuelta Ciclista allá por 1868.

En los 30 primeros segundos del vídeo, el gran Ricardo Muti echa flores a Chicago, a su sinfónica, etc. En los 30 siguientes, que bien los quisiéramos para LaVidak, irrumpe poderoso el Dies Irae del Requiem de Verdi, que él mismo dirige con la Sinfónica de Chicago, y culmina con unos magníficos créditos de cierre.

The cheap CMOS sensor of an iPhone does not expose the whole thing at once, it scans from left to right. If you take a picture of something that moves very fast (like an airplane prop) you can get some crazy pictures out of it since each column represents a slightly different time.

This oddball-but-cool effect is reminiscent of some of the distortions you see with scanner photography.

Maybe it’s time to pull out those camera phones and start snapping pics of oscillating or rotating objects!

We all have to admit it, this year’s Olympic opening ceremony was of epic proportions… but there was only one thing that wasn’t so epic.
Right at the moment when Chinese gymnast Li Ning was flying to light up the giant Olympic torch, someone took this picture. And if you think that this was Photoshopped, other people were able to take the shot from other angles.
In other related news, it was just reported that the Chinese government decided to dump Microsoft’s products in favor of their open source alternatives. Ok, not really, but wouldn’t it have been awesome, if true?
